EGTET 2020

The National Conference on Emerging Global Trends in Engineering and Technology (EGTET2020) with the theme “Smart City” will be the 3rd National level conference in series (EGTET-2014, EGTET-2016) to be organized by Assam Don Bosco University, Guwahati, Assam as a continuation of its efforts to bring together researchers working in diverse areas of Engineering and Technology to contribute towards the achievement of sustainable technology for smart cities and promote the role of technology towards the improvement of quality of life, work conditions in urban setting.

Smart India is a mission launched by the Honourable Prime Minister of India in the year 2015 under the umbrella of his vision Digital India. The smart city concept not only introduces us to a city that is well planned, technologically advanced and ecologically friendly; but at the same time this will also attract investments that will improve the overall business and developmental scenario of India. The idea of smart cities took its roots when the population in urban areas started to increase thereby exerting immense pressure on the urban infrastructure such as food and water supplies, waste management etc. To meet up the needs of the society, Scientists and Researchers have been working towards cleaner and greener efficient technology so that the overall quality of life is improved as well as the goal of sustainability is also reached.
